The proper height for a tennis net is 3 feet high, measured from the center tape of the net.

Generally, the center strap wear the height is measured is visually lower than the height at the net's extremities because the net posts measure 3.6 feet in height.

To adjust the height of a tennis net, a mechanical crank is  positioned onto one of the net posts and where it can be tightened until the proper height is reached.
